Description

Common Rue herb is a strongly scented perennial with gray-green leaves and clusters of bright yellow flowers. It’s a host plant for the Eastern Black Swallowtail butterfly caterpillars. These seeds, like milkweed, need light to germinate. Surface-sow after the ground has warmed or start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Does well in sandy well drained soil.
